Aunt Karen and family, It was sad to hear of Dick's passing, though I am sure he is in a much better place now. I regret having previous made commitments that will keep me from the memorial service. Please accept my condolence. One of my fondest memories of Uncle Dick was getting a ride in his GTO. That was many years ago. My hope is that you may be blessed with many happy memories through your time of sorrow. My love and prayers are with all of you. John Bates

Dick, it is with sadness that I write this note. Looking back to the days of Central, and the 50's, we certainly had some good times running around La Crosse. You will be missed, not only by me, but with many in our class from Central High School. Rest in Peace.

Ever since we moved into the neighborhood,(24 yrs.ago), we will always remember seeing Dick with his white German Shepard dog. (He's had 3 different ones.) He was a good neighbor to us, but due to his cancer know that he is at peace, and suffers no more. You'll all be in our prayers, and may God give you strength to carry on. That is how Dick would want it. David and Jane
