Guestbook for Orval T. Severson
sign guestbook

Orval is my great-grandpa although I haven't seen him in several years. Before reading this I had no idea he was a WW2 veteran. His great-great grandson is very interested in that war and I wish badly I could've gotten them together to hear Orval's stories.

Orval was one of the first people I met in La Crosse. I was inspired by his joy of dancing and enjoyed his warm welcomes. He always had a kind word to share. I have missed him while he was away from home, but look forward to seeing him in the life yet to come. May his memory be blessed and bring joy to many.

I remember Orval from square dancing with pistols and petticoats in la crosse.. this must have been in the early 70s since I was with the teen group. My parents , Ken and Geri Opdahl , square danced as well. God bless him and his family
