Someone once stated that the greatest tribute one can receive upon passing from this life is that s/he was a "nice person". Ron was a genuinely Nice Guy! It was my privilege to visit with Ron 2 weeks before he passed when he came, his first time, to the Bangor "Oltimers" breakfast at W Salem Features, where up to a dozen guys w/Bangor roots assemble monthly at 8AM on the 2nd Wed. He had just retired (again) from jockeying cars for Brenengen Auto 2 weeks prior. He stated his desire to continue to join us and enjoy the socializing. We will miss him. Ron was humble. He once dismissed the compliment received from a former coworker that he was a "wood artisan", preferring to be considered a mere wood "butcher". May "Pudgy" rest peacefully.

On behalf of the Class of '58 - Bangor High School, we extend our deepest sympathy during this difficult time in the passing of our fellow classmate Ronald "Ron" Sprehn. A memorial in Ron's name will be donated to the Bangor Scholarship Fund by his classmates. It was great seeing and having you both at our 60th Class Reunion this past September. He will always be "just one of us kids"! Condolences to all.....John

Dave and Edie -- so very sorry for your loss. Ron was much too young to leave this good earth. I think of you often, Edie - all our work together in the Sparta area! I'm up to six grandkids and still working fulll-time - my choice! Thoughts and prayers with are with your family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of chatting with Ron when dropping off my vehicle at Brenengen and needing a ride to UWL and getting dropped off by him at "the mailbox". He always made sure my return driver knew to pick me up there. He'd talk about his shop and the things he was/has made for the family and his grandchildren in college since I worked at one. God bless.

JoAnn and family. One sentance, one card, one book wouldn't have enough space for me to express my sorrow at your loss. Really, all of our loss. Ron will always be a family friend. A kind, loving man with a handsome smile. An absolute pleasure to chat and catch up with when I came home. I wish I could be home, to lend a hand to you, in this your time of need. Miles may separate us but memories and love are for as long as we can hold them. Love to you all...
