It was my pleasure to have known Blondie. I played bridge with her. I can say it was the best group of ladies ever and I miss those days and the smiling faces. My prayers are for her and her family.

Boyd and family - so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. When John and I lived on Caledonia street right across from your parents we had the pleasure of knowing them. I just received the information - or I would have been there. You were such a special friend to my sister Kathy. I will let her know. Are you going to be in town very long? My heart goes sad with sorrow for you - but I know you are a very firm believer in the higher place. Much love to you.

Beloved Mother, you will always reside in my heart and are forever alive in my consciousness. Rest and restore in the Valley of Hope as we hold you in our memory, remembering every moment of all the love and kindness you so freely gave us. You are constantly with me as I am with you. Your loving Son, Boyd

I first met Gladys when she employed by my mother Dolores (Lolly) Duckworth at the Booktrader on the North-side of La Crosse. I was starting my own floor cleaning company at the time with limited funding and Gladys offered to work as my pro bono answering service/secretary until I was established. If not for her generosity my company would have had a much greater chance of failure. She was a terrific person and will always hold a special place in my heart. My condolences to Boyd and all the rest of her family and friends. Rest in Peace Gladys.
