I carpooled with Peg to school for several years. I so enjoyed her quick wit during our lively conversations. Cindy Baer

Mrs. Doering was one of my favorite teachers. ❤️ She inspired my love for forensics/speech and theater. Because of her I became a secondary English/Theatre/Speech Communications teacher. This year I start my 30th year in education and I thank Mrs. Doering for her laughter, encouragement and inspiration. God bless Mrs. Doering and her family.

So sorry to hear of Mrs Doering passing. She was a very big influence in my life in the aspect that she mentored and coached me to aspire in public speaking. I adored her sense of humor and her ability to be serious and sensible at the right times. RIP

Peg and I would often team teach, and it was such fun to work with someone who was so upbeat and who genuinely enjoyed being with students. She saw potential in every student. Oh the memories of our forensics competitions and loading buses very early in the morning in freezing weather...and one of the buses had no heat. Peg was such an inspiration and positive role model to teachers, students, and administrators. Rest in peace my friend and colleague.

Peg, you will be missed and were missed by the teaching staff when you retired. You were one of a kind...a good kind. I think laughter was always on your mind. I worked down the hall from the main office and I knew when you came in. I could always hear your loud laugh. You made your classes so enjoyable God Bless you, Peg. God needs you to teach someone up above..

I got the privilege of doing Peg's hair for a few short years. I so enjoyed her sense of humor and sharp wit! She and Don didn't miss a beat and my Wednesdays haven't been quite the same since she moved to Holmen. I am sad to hear of her passing, but glad that she will get to join her true love! Prayers for her family. I love you, Peg!

Sorry to hear of Peg's passing. We shared laughter centered on the fact that Peg and I started at Holmen High School the same year (1978).. and she often then would say that made us the same age. Never correct a woman on her age.. and frankly she always seemed younger than me. Those were fun years.. thanks for being a friend in and of education.

Peg, You blessed my teaching career in so many ways. You were a mentor and friend. You made me reflect, assess, and appreciate what I was doing in my classroom. You helped me laugh when I thought it was impossible. I cannot thank you enough for your guidance and friendship. You will be forever an impact on me and so many others. May you rest in peace. Carrie

Peg reminded me daily about the importance of laughter and love. She truly loved teaching, loved high school students and the days were made better by her laughter - loud boisterous laughter. She was such a witty, intelligent, creative person, and everyone who met her, who worked with her or was taught by her knows how much she loved life. I have missed Peg over the years. May she rest in peace and her family know that she was loved by many at Holmen High School.
