Guestbook for Harry E. Hiser
sign guestbook

What a special man and friend Red was. He was my fishing buddy for many years and I will always remember his forever jokes. Our prayers are with Jean and the whole family. God Bless.

I wish I would have had a chance to go fishing with him. He was an exemplar of a Masonic Brother.

It is impossible to speak of Brother Red Hiser other than in superlatives. Loveable, gentlemanly, kindly, gracious, generous and wise - he was a man in the very sense of all those words. He had a joke for every occasion and quickly drew a crowd. May he enjoy his eternal rest and the rewards he has earned.

Harry E."Red" Hiser was a great father-figure for us kids in the old Northside La Crosse neighborhood we lived in. I can remember Red teaching us as our cub scout leader to sing "Down by the Old Mill Stream". My son Matt's 1st-ever photo (taken when he was age 3) shows me seated, smiling, by a painting of an old mill & stream. Red's sons have been great men--two passed, Scott still living. And my mom(Rose) & Red's wife(Jean) used to visit over coffee whenever they could. The entire Marcou family wishes abundant blessings to all past, present, & future Hisers.--From David Joseph Marcou.
