Guestbook for Kelly Rae Hugo
sign guestbook

We at Cambridge Lutheran Church in Cambridge, MN, just recently learned of Kelly's passing. Kelly played in the adult Celestial Bells and then directed the confirmation-age youth in the Covenant Bells. Her participation in the music program in varied ways was greatly appreciated. We knew Sean, Elijah, and Sarah in their early years here. The family lived nearby in the country and raised sled dogs. Our deepest sympathies for your loss of Sean, and now his mother, Kelly.

Sarah and Eli, I am so sorry for the loss of your precious mother, Kelly. I knew Kelly through work @ St. Cloud School District. It's hard to find the words to express my deepest and heartfelt sympathy for your loss. Kelly was a kind, gentle, caring and fun person. She had a smile and personality that could light up any room. She touched the lives of so many people. After Sean's death we had many talks in her vehicle as I had lost a nephew due to the war at about that same time. She loved all of you so much and was so very proud of you. Kelly will be dearly missed by all who knew her. May you take comfort knowing she is now in heaven dancing on streets of gold to heavenly music. My sincerest condolences.

Kelly and I met through the Tri-State Alaskan Malamute Club. I will always remember her as a hard-working, kindhearted, friendly and caring soul. Kelly is gone too soon, but I believe she left this world a better place. May she Rest In Peace. Deepest condolences to her family and to those who were fortunate to call her friend.

Kelly will forever be a beautiful spirit. Her great laugh and helpful heart was a gift to all who knew her, and her caring nature for so many children, and adults like me, will be never forgotten. My deepest sympathies for your loss.

I am in shock as I just found out the loss of Kelly. We lost my nephew, my sister's son in Afghanistan, and she lost her son a few days later in Afghanistan. I used her picture receiving her son's flag with her permission in our Veteran's Day programs at school. I am in Ohio and we connected through a page for fallen soldiers, and have been connected for several years. We would chat about school as I am a principal and she was a school guidance counselor in Minnesota, talk about our being divorced and by ourselves, and we chatted as school was starting. She told me to go down the hallway and blow bubbles as kids and teachers are in the hallway as everyone loves it, and they think you are crazy. I was in Minnesota and was going to meet and have lunch, but didn't hear from her as she hadn't checked messages, and I was already in Iowa heading home. The pic of Kelly receiving her son's flag is priceless. Kelly was a Gold and Blue Star Mother. I am so sorry, Kelly Hugo. This makes my heart hurt. My thoughts be with you.

Eli and Sarah, Your mom's passing simply tears my heart. I think one of the most emotional events in my life was when I presented her the Gold Star flag to be flown on behalf of Sean's memory at your home. I doubt that I have ever known any woman who was so fiercely independent, so capable of making repairs to anything, so loving a keeper of rescued animals, and a friend one could always depend on when needed. My prayers and thoughts are with you both. Twyla
