Obituary for Wilma A. Kohler

Wilma Anna Kohler a resident of Onaterrace, Onalaska, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2017 at the age of 93. She lived at Onaterrace since August 2014. Previous to this she lived in Holmen. Wilma was born on January 31, 1924 in Sydney Ohio to Andrew and Anna Yokers. She married Arthur Kohler on June 11, 1960. She was a typesetter and owned a type setting business in Dayton Ohio, and later moved to Minneapolis MN. After her husband passed away, she move to Cincinnati Ohio and lived there until August 2006 when she moved to Holmen to be with her family.
While in the La Crosse area Wilma worked for Sam's Club doing demos. Her love of crafts lead her to volunteer, leading craft time at Prairie Home in Holmen. More recently she hand crafted paper bead jewelry. She utilized her typesetting skills printing bulletins and newsletters at her church. She loved people and spent time organizing events at Onaterrace and volunteering at church.
Wilma is survived by her children; Melvin Kohler, of La Crosse, Kevan (Sandra) Kohler of Minneapolis, and Deborah (Greg) Kozelek of Ettrick Wisconsin, grandchildren; Anna, Paul (Leah), Mark, David (Kayla), Sarah and Abigail, and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers; Floyd and Carl Yokers and sisters, Evelyn Yokers and Thelma See.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Onalaska United Methodist Church, 212 4th Ave N. The Reverend Park Hunter will officiate and burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria, Ohio at a later date. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. The Dickinson Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
