Brian Kieth Stankey, 60, was killed in a car accident on Friday, September 15, 2017. He was born in Holmen, WI on Saturday, July 13, 1957 to Harold (Red) and Karen Stankey. He was the fourth of eight children.
Brian enlisted in the Army and served from 1975 to 1978 as a helicopter turbine engine mechanic. He traveled and eventually found the love of his life Carol (Pampuch). They were married on December 30, 1995. Later came two little girls, Brianna and Bridget, and his life was filled with so much joy. Through them, he got involved in Trempealeau County 4-H and touched so many lives through the county program as well as the state. He also volunteered through the GET High School Band and Music Boosters and ran the concession stand at basketball games for the past three years. Brian loved the Green Bay Packers and was always watching Nascar. He also enjoyed watching Master Chef, which no doubt inspired his homemade cinnamon rolls, which will be missed by many.
Brian was survived by his loving wife Carol (Pampuch); two daughter, Brianna and Bridget; his siblings, Linda (Ron) Elsen, Frank, JoAnn (Richard) Bredemann, Ron, Diane, and Pete; his parent-in-laws Toni and Richard Pampuch and brother-in-law Jay Pampuch; his many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his friends and 4-H family.
He is preceded in death by his younger sister Carol and his parents.
A memorial service for Brian will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 3-7pm at the Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 515 McHugh Rd, Holmen, WI. Information and online condolences may be given to the family at www.dickinsonfuneralhomes.com
