Scott Jeffrey Yonkovich was born August 1, 1960 to Ernest and DeVera Yonkovich in Austin, MN. He passed away at Gundersen Health System on Sunday, September 17, 2017.
He loved music, especially heavy metal or anything with a drum beat became his chosen path. He expressed life through his music. He was a proud member of the La Crosse Warriors Drum & Bugle Corp during his younger years. He was also a member of the White Widow Band and even spent recording time at Prince's recording studio.
He is survived by his son, Spencer Curran of Onalaska, sisters; Sharon Flies of Pardeeville, WI, Shirlee Yonkovich of Half Moon Bay, CA, a brother Stephen (Gert) Yonkovich of Onalaska, nephews; Corey (Amy) Yonkovich, Craig (Susan) Yonkovich, Johnie Flies, Jason Flies, Kristana (Randy) Altoe, and Godparents John Roger and Ila Johnson, and several great nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his infant son Derrick Scott Yonkovich and his parents.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Rivers Harvest Church, 1001 Quincy Street, Onalaska. Pastor Andy LeFebre will officiate and burial will be in the Onalaska. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. The Dickinson Family Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
