Billy Joe “BJ” Ulry, age 83 of Galesville, Wisconsin and Formerly of La Crosse passed away at his home on Saturday, September 23, 2017. He was born in Hannibal, Missouri on September 21, 1934 to Glen and Pearl (Boegler) Ulry.
Following graduating from Logan High School, Bill served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is retired from the Burlington Northern Railroad with 37 years as a Locomotive Engineer. Bill’s pastimes included being an avid motorcycle rider, woodworking and spending time with his friends.
Bill is survived by his daughter; Susan (Dave) Minten of Lakeland, TN, step-daughter; Teresa Woodard of Galesville, WI, grandchildren; Cindy (Jacob) Guidry of Cordova, TN, Jennifer (Bill) Cullum of Scituate, MA, and Dylan Woodard of Galesville, WI and great-grandchildren; Corbin Guidry, Cody Campbell, and Chase Cullum.
He was preceded in death by parents, his infant brother; Aaron, and his wife Constance Charlton.
A graveside funeral service will be held at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park on Friday, September 29. Friends and family are welcome to attend at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Park Hunter will be officiating while military honors will be performed by the Onalaska American Legion and the United States Army.
