Edmund R. Rolbiecki, 66, of Trempealeau passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 and has joined his fellow brothers in arms. He was born in Winona, MN. on July 25, 1951 to Roman and Bernice (Drazkowski) Rolbiecki.
Ed graduated from Trempealeau Healy Memorial High School in 1969. In 1971, he joined the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War from July 25, 1971 to April 18, 1972.
On July 28, 1973, Ed married Carmen Emerson and they had two amazing children, Eric and Erin. He worked for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Lock and Dam #6, in Trempealeau for over 30 years.
Ed is survived by his wife, Carmen; son, Eric (Amanda) Rolbiecki of Trempealeau; daughter, Erin (Justin) Dietrich of Tucson, AZ.; grandsons, Jaxon and Griffin and step grandchildren, Allicia, Severin and Dameon; siblings, Al (Deb) Rolbiecki, Sharon (Jerry) Williamson, Dave (Nancy) Rolbiecki, Karen (Bro Pete) Fry, Frank (Denise) Rolbiecki; and numerous in-laws; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charlie; niece Heather and nephew, Derek.
Ed loved his family unconditionally and served his country proudly. Our hearts are broken.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Trempealeau. The Reverend Antony Joseph will officiate and burial with full Military Honors will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Trempealeau. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.
The Dickinson Family Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Trempealeau VFW Post 1915 Relief Fund.
