Bonnie Lou Sullivan, 76, of Bangor, formerly of La Crosse, passed away at Mayo Clinic Heath System in La Crosse on Friday, January 12, 2018. She was born in Holmen on June 11, 1941 to Walter and Leona (Martin) Tolvstad. She graduated from Holmen High School. She was united in marriage to William Sullivan on February 5, 1966.

Bonnie was a cook at many restaurants in the La Crosse area. Her dream came true when she opened her own diner, Bonnie's Café on George St. She catered many weddings and parties over the years. She also worked at Duratech, Empire Screen Printing and after retirement, worked part-time at Gemini Home Health. Bonnie and Bill formed a band "The North Country" where she played the drums. She loved entertaining, having parties with friends and family. Bonnie adored her grandchildren. She loved to cook, go to the casino, and spend time with her dogs.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, William, a daughter, Tracey (Larry) Anderson of Rochester, Minnesota, a son, Todd (Carrie) Sullivan of La Crosse, and step son, Greg Sullivan of Stockton, California, grandchildren Rebecca and Erik Anderson, Emily and Katie Sullivan, sister-in-law Nancy Tolvstad of Onalaska, a niece Carol Krogan, nephews John Tolvstad and Greg Tolvstad, and her "day one" friend Charleen Kulcinski.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother's Dean and Wallace, and a sister-in-law Jean Tolvstad.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 5pm at Dickinson Family Funeral Home (809 Gillette St La Crosse) with Pastor Scott Skogen officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3pm until the time of the service. A private family interment will take place at a later date at Long Coulee Cemetery in Holmen.
