Obituary for Fay Jean Russell

Fay Jean Russell, 84, of La Crosse, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, March 12, 2018. She was born March 22, 1933 in La Crosse to Raymond and Mabel Swartz. She was number 3 of 4 children. Fay was married to Jim Russell for many years. Together they had 3 children, Randy, Vicki and Jeff. They later divorced.
Fay ran an adult foster home for many years and was well known the care she gave to people. People also loved her holiday and birthday parties. She was a very proud Packer fan and her favorite players were Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews. She also loved to feed the birds and work in her flower garden. Fay had a lot of love for her family and friends.
She is survived by her oldest son and wonderful caregiver, Randy (Lisa) Russell, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, Vicki and Jeff, and siblings, Billy, Jack and Kenny.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 19th at Noon at the Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 809 Gillette Street. Pastor Richard Pamperin will officiate and burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Monday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.
