Patricia “Pat” Hope (Coleman) Kennedy, 92, born at home near La Farge, Wisconsin, March 17, 1926, to Esther and John T. Coleman, passed away peacefully at home on October 10, 2018 in La Crosse. A cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, as well as neighbor and friend, she will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and sassy wit. Pat enjoyed a simple life and held an appreciation for simple things, a long ride on a sunshine filled day, hearing the birds sing and seeing the moon rise up over the bluff. In later years, she had become a voracious reader, frequenting the library and never without a stack of books next to her favorite chair. She kept informed and was quick to enjoy a political debate. Her grandchildren always looked forward to her homemade cookies and pies. She loved to bake and was proud to continue her daily housekeeping, never wanting to be without chores until the very end. A strong independent woman who wanted to quietly go her way, she left us soon after the many dreary days of autumn clouds seemed to separate just for her with the sun shining in her room. As she wished, no services will be held. Pat was married to Ronald L. Kennedy in September of 1949, making their home in La Crosse. Ronald passed away in 1990. Patricia is survived by her daughter, Victoria “Vickey” Moutsopoulos and her son, Todd J. (Agnes) Kennedy, grandchildren, Diana (Raghav Mani) Moutsopoulos, Erica Moutsopoulos, and Kalen J. Kennedy; great grandchildren Aris and Athina Mani; nieces and nephews. We would like to thank Gundersen Hospice who helped her in her few last days, and so much appreciation for a generous special neighbor, Mary Schaub, who will also always have our mother and grandmother in her heart. The Dickinson Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Please visit to share online condolences.
