"Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." -Matthew 11:28
On Sunday, September 1, 2019 our loving Father decided it was time for Kelly Rae Hugo to have her eternal rest. She succumbed to injuries sustained in an accident at her home while working on her motorcycle.
Kelly Rae Schroeder was born on December 28, 1960 to Robert and Carol Schroeder in Sparta, WI. On January 22, 1961 she was baptized at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Bangor, WI. and later confirmed her faith on June 11, 1976,also at St. Paul's. She was a 1979 graduate of Luther High School. In 1983 she graduated from UW-LaCrosse with a degree in instrumental music. She accepted a teaching position in Maryland and spent three years sharing her love of music. Life brought her back to the Midwest where she earned her Master's degree in counseling from Winona State in 1996. For 21 years she served students in Minnesota.
Kelly was an independent, resourceful, talented woman who shared her gifts in many ways. Music brought joy to her life and she was happiest when she could spread that to others. Helping others was a life-long goal of hers and she did her best to work toward that goal every day of her life.
God in His wisdom gave her a heavy burden to bear when she lost her oldest son Sean Osterman. She is survived by her son Elijah Pruka and daughter Sarah Pruka of St. Cloud, MN; her parents Robert and Carol Schroeder of Onalaska, WI; a sister Kim (Steve) Blado of Onalaska, WI; two nephews and a niece and their families; and her longtime friend Barb Schmitt of Verona, WI.
