Obituary for Raymond C. Hubley

Raymond Charles Hubley Jr., age 86 of La Crescent, Minnesota passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Springbrook Assisted Living. He was born on September 10, 1932 in La Crosse, Wisconsin to Raymond and Dorothy (Hunstable) Hubley.
Raymond proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was joined in marriage to JoAnn Streich on June 30, 1956 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Minoqua, Wisconsin. Following graduating from Winona State University he enjoyed a career as a biologist and later becoming the assistant lab director at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Onalaska. He is past president of the American Fisheries Society and is the past executive director of the Issac Walton League. Ray will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman and adventurer. In following his faith, Raymond was a longtime member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Holmen.
Raymond is survived by his wife; JoAnn, daughter; Angela (Steve) Floyd of Appleton, sons; Gregory (Jenny) Hubley of Waukesha, and John Hubley of La Crosse, sister; Joan (John) Brookhart of Belen, New Mexico, brother; Gary (Sally) Hubley of Neenah, Wisconsin, grandchildren; Cole, Matthew (Haley), Luke, Ty, Luke and Shannon, and granddogs; Duke, Gina and Sierra. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (515 North Main Street, Holmen) at 11:00 a.m. with Father John Parr officiating. A time for visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m.
The Dickinson Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
