Obituary for Anna Jane Laub

Anna "Jane" Laub, 87, of Holmen passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at Mayo Clinic Health System, La Crosse. She was born in Tony, Wisconsin on July 29, 1925 to George and Jessie (Van Heesch) Leonhard. On July 9, 1949 Jane married Joseph A. Laub and he preceded her in death on September 7, 1994.
Jane was a devoted member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her family "at the lake" and the special times with the love of her life, Joe. Most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jane is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Les) Giesler and Denise (Edward) Haines both of Holmen; three grandchildren, Elisa (Jeff) Benson, Kristina (Belle Ugalde) Giesler, and Jordan Haines; two great grandchildren, Cassandra JoAnna and Mason Charles Benson; two sisters, Jean Doughty of Ladysmith, WI. and Judy Kunkel of Spooner, WI; a brother, George Leonhard of Wausau, WI; and several nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters in law.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Jessica Ann; two sisters, Mary Barfknecht and Helen Swanson; and three brothers, Tom, Jim, and Paul Leonhard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 515 Main Street North, Holmen. The Reverend John Parr and Reverend Delbert Malin will officiate and burial will be in Greenmound Cemetery, rural Holmen. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
The Dickinson Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
